RE-DEVELOPMENT BEGINS AT FORREST GATE

Work is set to begin on the re-development of 1 Forrest Gate in Tannochside, following the appointments of the main contractor and letting agents.

HF Developments has appointed GHI to transform the former Kwik-Fit Insurance call centre into 39,527 sq ft of grade A office accommodation. Improvements will include the addition of a new mezzanine floor which will further increase floor space.

Two of the four offices available have already been pre-let. Kwik-Fit Fleet Services will occupy 3,228 sq ft, relocating operations to a different part of the building, and  Bright Horizons Family Solutions, one of the UK’s leading providers of workplace childcare, have retained their 5,839 sq ft.

Leading letting agents, DTZ, Colliers CRE and Cushman and Wakefield have all been appointed to attract further businesses to this prime office space location in the heart of Tannochside’s business community.

HF Developments bought the property last year with former joint venture partner, AWG Property Ltd, but has since then ended its JV partnership with AWG by buying out its share in all ventures, including 1 Forrest Gate. 

William Hill, managing director of HF Developments, said: “We knew when we acquired this property that it would provide a terrific investment and we are working hard to attract new tenants to occupy the property.

“Once the redevelopment is complete, we intend to market the property extensively and hopefully demonstrate to an occupier the merits of both the location and the building.” 

The construction of 1 Forrest Gate is due for completion in December 2007.
