Hamilton
International Park Continues to Grow and Expand at a Rapid Rate Hamilton
International Park (HIP), one of Scotland's most sought after business locations,
has experienced its busiest year yet as expansion plans gather pace. The
business park - owned and operated by HFD Group - has invested in a host of new
services and facilities as part of its phase two expansion plans to build a further
206,000 sq ft of high-quality office accommodation space over the next three to
four years, creating in excess of 2,500 jobs for the surrounding area. This
recent investment has included the development of a new £5.25m Retail Parade,
which will further enhance the range of amenities at the park. Top bakery
group Greggs, Lloyds Pharmacy, Compliments Hair & Beauty Salon, and the cuttings
edge Scandinavian nursery, Barnehage, are the first retailers to take space at
the eagerly anticipated Parade which will offer a wide range of leisure and retail
facilities to both business park occupiers and the local community. HSBC will
also provide ATM facilities at the Parade. William Hill, managing director
of park owner HFD Group, said: "Companies are increasingly looking for the
overall package when choosing a business location and I believe that Hamilton
International Park fits the bill perfectly. "We pride ourselves in
continually improving the service offering for our tenants and the expansion of
the Park is testament to the success and the ongoing need for high-quality flexible
office space set within an attractive environment." In order to maintain
this attractive environment, Hamilton Park Developments (HPD), a subsidiary of
the HFD Group, recently assumed the park management role at Hamilton International
Park. HPD will now be responsible for site maintenance, security, landscaping
and general upkeep of the park, providing a consistent approach to the park's
visual outlook.
Additional benefits to tenants at HIP include the provision
of free bus travel. The Business Park teamed up with local bus firm Irvine's last
year, to provide free bus passes for tenants to Hamilton and East Kilbride, on
the X5 and 205 routes. Whitelaw's coaches have also added two further routes -
250 and 255 - which travel through the Park. Located in the heart of central
Scotland, approximately 13 miles south east of Glasgow city centre, Hamilton International
Park provides modern and flexible office accommodation to local, regional and
International businesses. Current tenants include HSBC, ICM, T-Mobile, Scottish
& Universal and First Engineering Group Limited who chose to relocate from
Glasgow and base their new Scottish headquarters at the park, due to the excellent
location and amenities.. Recent additions to HIP include the new build 24,000
sq ft Fenick House and the 39,000 sq ft Fintry House. Both developments enjoy
prominent positions within the business park and will provide grade A flexible
office space to suit variety of needs. Such is the demand for the highly-valued
office space that a Chancery partnership investor syndicate has already purchased
Fenick and Fintry House, for a combined total of £26million, demonstrating
the enduring attraction of HIP as both a business destination and an investment
location. Hill continued: "Investment sales at Hamilton International
Park have now reached £131.5 million and we are committed to ensuring we
remain the number one choice for businesses hoping to locate or relocate in the
heart of central Scotland." DTZ, Lambert Smith Hampton and Cushman
& Wakefield are retained letting agents for the available office accommodation
at Hamilton International Park, whilst Dalkin & Co and DTZ act as agents for
the new retail parade. Notes
