HFD Adds Summit Point to the Portfolio at Hamilton International
Park Following the recent acquisition of a high quality industrial unit
at Hamilton International Park, HF Developments have retained the joint agency
services of DTZ, Lambert Smith Hampton and Cushman & Wakefield, to market
the building. Situated at the highest point in the Park, the 25,000 sq ft
unit has been re-branded and launched this week as Summit Point. Summit
Point provides 18,661 sq ft (1,734 sq m) of high quality warehouse or production
space, with 6,428 sq ft (597 sq m) of modern office accommodation, secure yardage
and dedicated car parking. Ross Sinclair, Senior Surveyor at DTZ, commented
- "This purchase allows Summit Point to be incorporated within H F Development's
significant existing ownership. This will undoubtedly add major benefits through
their extensive knowledge, expertise and proactive management style. "The
industrial market in Glasgow has been affected greatly by rising construction
costs and this has affected the supply chain. Very few developers are constructing
speculative product and this has resulted in the strong take up of new and good
quality second hand space. With relatively strong ongoing demand currently prevailing
for industrial space around the 25,000 sq ft range, Summit Point should be well
received in today's market". One of Scotland's leading business locations,
Hamilton International Park has seen heavy investment in recent years in tenant
amenities and services, including a new Retail Parade, bus stops and free bus
passes on the Irvine's X5 and 205 services. William Hill, managing director
of HFD Group, said: "We are committed to continually improving the working
environment for our park tenants and offering modern and flexible accommodation
to suit all needs. "I am confident that our team of highly qualified
letting agents will work hard to demonstrate the benfits of the Park as the best
business location and secure the right tenant for Summit Point."
