Celebrating 15 Years of Success at Strathclyde Business
Park as John Swinney MSP Opens Duart House Duart House, the latest £16m
speculative office development at Strathclyde Business Park, has been formally
declared open by John Swinney MSP. The four storey property offers managed
accommodation to tenants across a range of sectors from up-and-coming start-ups
to multi-nationals. Stylish, contemporary space is complimented by a comprehensive
range of facilities. Fully furnished office suites are available in "walk
in" condition for immediate occupation. Conference facilities are available
to all tenants on each floor with full data and audio visual facilities, and seminar
suites can accommodate up to 250, further enhancing the Business Park's conferencing
provision. When fully occupied, Duart House will support an additional
650 jobs. Since it's inception in 1990, Strathclyde Business Park has grown
to be the premier business park location in Scotland, setting the standard in
terms of quality of building, landscaping, environment and facilities. There are
currently 240 companies, such as Virgin Media, Scottish Power, William Grants
Distillers, Camelot and PPD Inc based on site, providing over 5,500 jobs. William
Hill, Developer of Strathclyde Business Park, explained "Facilitating growth
has been key to the Park's success. Providing flexible accommodation with the
ability to expand with our tenants as their businesses change, has proved invaluable
to many of the companies who have located here. Duart House is the largest, and
we believe, the most prestigious office accommodation at the Business Park. "Our
investment over the last 15 years to providing an inspirational working environment
for our tenants has resulted in an on site hotel, gym, the first Retail Parade
on a Scottish Business Park, nursery and restaurant facilities, dedicated Shuttle
Bus services, which have been key attractions to organisations looking to re-locate." Finance
Secretary John Swinney said: "Strathclyde Business Park has helped revive
Lanarkshire's economic fortunes and is an excellent place for business to locate
and grow. The take up of space already in Duart House demonstrates the Park's
continuing success, a clear indication of the great location and first rate local
skills base. I wish Strathclyde Business Park every success for the future."
